Senior Pastor- James Mather
Pastor James has been pastor at Valleyview since October 2024. He attended Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, CO where he graduated with Bachelor degrees in Pastoral Ministry & Biblical Studies.
Pastor James was saved when he was 7, at a revival service in Dodge City, Kansas. Praying with the evangelist, to believe in the Lord Jesus, and trust Him as his Savior, is a treasured memory. He has been through many ups and downs in life since then, but Jesus has always been faithful, as His word in Hebrews 13 states, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee”.
He grew up in southwest Kansas and enjoys fishing, hunting, motorcycles, golf, reading, and cooking. He and his wife Mhinie have been married since February 2020. Mhinie grew up in the Philippines and enjoys fishing, reading, cooking, singing, and picnics at the lake. Together they enjoy family time with their son Levi.
Office Secretary – Trichia Penner
Trichia has been serving as secretary here at Valleyview Bible Church since July 2018. She attended Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, KS and graduated with a Bachelors in Religion & Philosophy.
Trichia gave her life to Christ at church camp when she was 7 years old. She often attended church on her own growing up and attended youth group.
Trichia has been married to her husband Bob since May 23, 2010. God has blessed them with two sons and two daughters. She and her family have lived in Ingalls, KS since 2012 after living in Leadville, CO for 2 years.
She loves chocolate, Coca-Cola, and pasta. Enjoys a good comedy and spending time with her family. Her favorite Hymn is “How Great Thou Art”.
