Affiliation

This church is a member of the Southern District Conference and the United States Conference of Mennonite Brethren church, and will support projects and activities of the above named conferences. Articles and By-laws of this Constitution shall be in general agreement with the Constitution of the Mennonite Brethren Church.

Faith

The statement of faith of this church shall be in agreement with the confession faith of the US Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches.

​Valleyview Bible Church Core Values:

We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant, infallible Word and provides the basis of our faith and life.  (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:105; 2 Peter 1:19-21)

2.CHRIST-CENTERED TEACHING

We believe that Christ-centered teaching leads to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which then cultivates a Christlike atmosphere within the body.  (Colossians 2:6-7; Colossians 1:17-18)

3.DEPENDENCE ON THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that it is essential to seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance and direction through prayer and study of the Word.  (John 14:26; Romans 8:26; Colossians 1:9)

4.  EVANGELISM

We believe in an outwardly focused attitude of evangelism within our church, our community and around the world.  (Matthew 28:19-20; John 15:8; Romans 10:14-15)

5.  DISCIPLESHIP

We believe that Christians, led by the Holy Spirit, should live in obedience to Christ and his teaching and seek to grow toward spiritual maturity.  (Matthew 28:19-20; James 1:4; 1 John 5:3)

6.ACCOUNTABILITY

We believe in the importance of demonstrating personal and corporate accountability of our Christian walk in all areas of our lives.  (Galatians 6:1-2; James 5:16)

7.LOVING/CARING RELATIONSHIPS

We believe that the love of Jesus is demonstrated by cultivating loving/caring relationships and that this should permeate every aspect of church life.  (2 Peter 1:7; John 13:34-35; Galatians 5:13)

8.PRAISE AND WORSHIP

We believe that worship is an essential part of church life. Through a blended worship style of both traditional and contemporary aspects we seek to provide opportunities for praise and worship in a multigenerational congregation.  (Acts 2:47; Colossians 3:16; Psalm 118:24; Psalm 150)
